My baby is one year – One year of blogging
Time flies… I am so happy to say my baby is one year old. It’s been a ride with full of excitement, creativity and happiness. I cannot say that it was always easy but that is what brings success and satisfaction.
It’s a big deal to celebrate the one-year blogging anniversary, as it’s a responsibility and it is a style to take care of your own. We all have a dream and we can let no one stop it from us to develop it. So today, I have to take a minute to open a bottle of Champagne and have a glass of bubbles and Celebrate!!
My reflections and expectations
It’s been a while, that I wrote something on the blog. The last couple of months I have been creating new stuff and from mid-March 2018, until today I have been planning the travels; travelled backpacking to Nepal and created a big surprise for my boyfriend birthday and went for a weekend in London. But here I am today, can’t forget when I started and what made me start blogging. I always loved travelling since I was young. You can continue reading about this on ‘What does travel means to me?’
Travelling made me evolved new stuff such as blogging, vlogging and making travel films.
Lately, I have been creating more videos on YouTube channel about my travels. This takes a lot of time to bring out the story of the journey. [Currently still editing Nepal video] I invite you to check the channel on this link. Feel free to Subscribe. 😉
What have I been up to?
Amsterdam
An amazing cultural trip, where Mavric and I discovered the city of Amsterdam. We met a local chef that he spoke about Amsterdam and his career.
In Amsterdam, apart from trying to experience the culture and do like the locals, we had a chance to be a tourist and visited some attractions which were very interesting and entertaining.
Apart from the city, it was worth going outside and discover other towns in Holland.
Check out this page for more about Amsterdam.
Sicily
A family weekend trip, which Sicily is half-an-hour to Malta by plane. This trip was a short break as everyone deserve a relaxing one, from time to time. Here, we had visited locations with nature and beautiful views.
Here is a page of Sicily.
Malta and Gozo
The island I was born, raised and currently live in. As many of the locals do not consider the country we live in as a trip, but as a place that we spend our life to live and to work.
The trip to Nepal, made me see my own country different. As I had to train and exercise for the adventure in Nepal, it gave me the opportunity to see Malta and Gozo from a different perspective. I had discovered new places around the islands.
Here is what I found when I was Exploring Malta – Explore your own Country
Nepal
A recent adventure that it showed me how to challenge myself and my body for long days, trekking on the mountain Thorong La pass. It made me feel proud and speechless.
London
Home away from home. London always made me feel home especially after three years ago, where I had lived there for 6 months.
This time, it was a small weekend trip, a surprise for Mavric’s birthday. An amazing and joyful trip with such amazing views and good weather, lucky us. 🙂
Why I love blogging
I love blogging because it gives me the freedom to express myself about how I see things. Blogging gave me the opportunity to interact more with you and gives advice on the travelling and filming purposes.
What has evolved
A year ago, I only started writing about my trips. By the time things evolved. It also gave me the opportunity to share with you tips and advice about the places I went.
Mavric and I always loved the video, so while being on our trips we always took out the camera to film our adventure. Keeping the videos to our self-was not the thing, so I started my YouTube channel along the way to share with you our experience in action.
I also organized a Kit for you to check what equipment, I use for my travels and film. Follow me on Kit, so you will know what equipment and tools, I add and change.
What I learnt
Learning through life is always important. Blogging gave me the opportunity to learn something new throughout the year. I learnt to be more creative and technical. Creating a blog is not just the writing but it was a challenge to learn the technical part of setting up a blog web. I learnt as well that creative things take time to be produced in a good quality product.
Writing taught me to find time to read more and try new things to share the experience with happiness, positivity and love.
What to improve
We are not perfect so there are always things to improve. Naturally, I always have a lot to share with you from my experiences.
I want to create;
More in-depth, tips for you regarding travelling and talking about film wise – what’s the best equipment to take with you on your travels and how to shoot your travels.
The blog reaches more people every month. It is just a number, but with hard work, there is no limit.
I believe I have to be more consistent on sending the newsletter. I have to commit myself to send weekly emails.
Share more about Malta. The country that currently, I live in and I have not shared that much about apart the trekking videos I have been doing for the training of this BIG adventure we just did in April 2018, Nepal.
Last and not least
Thank you to everyone who keeps reading the blog and watching the videos. Apart one of the reasons is I love doing it. You are the main reason I keep doing this.
