Eating out in Italy – Puglia
Speaking about Italian food is far beyond pizza and pasta. In the Puglia region, Modugno; a small town, which is thirty minutes away from Bari with the car.

Once entered into the restaurant, the environment felt very welcome with also a very warm welcome from the person who greeted us, Emanuel. He gave us a table to sit around so we start choosing what can we eat from the menu for dinner.

The Menu consists of varied antipasti, first course wide-ranging of traditional food, second plates with tasty meat and fish.

The Owners
Granted that the staff is the owners themselves, Emanuel and Eros. They are two young entrepreneurs who are doing a profession from their passion every day!
With this intention, their profession is an ambition of life, which they believe to have a dream and achieve it on a daily basis.
Panacea Dinner
The staff brought an appetizer on the table that was a very delicious fried shrimp in kadaifi dough with a drop of honey, which it was plated nicely. Speaking of which about the taste; it has a crunchy sweet flavour that for this reason, we were more looking forward to enjoying the dinner.
The first course was Gnocchetti with Duck and Chestnuts and Quiche Asparagus. The Gnocchetti were quite heavy in effect, to eat before the second plate. On the other hand, the Quiche Asparagus was very creamy and delicious and I felt that I did not want it to be finished!!
Equally important, the main course was crispy well-cooked meat, which has a wonderful taste and chews easily. This includes Picanha in Crosta & Filetto di Angus together with hot potato crisp made by the chef!
The Wine
Generally speaking, being a wine lover, I like on the table, the light of a bottle of wine. A glass of red is always suitable to drink when eating red meat. Emanuel suggested drinking their homemade wine. The impression that lingers in the mouth after you’ve swallowed the wine it is useful to have the after taste… sweet and strong!!
Panacea Overall
Overall, the dinner in Panacea, Modugno is elegant, relax and fine dining. The staff is very helpful and outgoing which they talk and make you feel at home. Markedly, they serve professionally with a smile. All things considered, Panacea is a destination restaurant that all foodies should experience in Puglia.
